WebPurchased a Dell XPS 15 in late November. The unit came with a rattling trackpad. You could also see and feel that the trackpad was not even (one side was a bit higher than the other). Reported the problem to Dell and Dell promptly (great service) sent a technician to resolve the issue. WebI'd bet that what you're experiencing is a software issue because, as said previously, the touch pad doesn't actually move. The click is just piezo electric vibrators under the glass that make it feel like a click. mattacusmaximus 3 mo. ago. The touch pad isn't designed to be pushed at all.
